Great hotel in a good location”
Great hotel in a good location near water and tram transportation with numerous museums in close proximity. Staff was superb, hotel spotlessly clean.

We really enjoy our staying in the hotel, the location is the best! one of the best things in our staying in the apollo hotel was the great staff, they was very nice, specially Zoubida, she was so nice to us, she make our trip much better! we never expired this kind of friendly Front Office Manager! our next trip in Amsterdam will be in this Hotel! Good spot to see the museums”
This is not a fancy hotel, lots of Bri'ish youf and budget travelers from all over, which is not a complaint . But don't expect all the fixings. If you want a nice overpriced hotel bar and restaurant, go out the front door, turn right and walk 50 yards to the Park Hotel. -- I got sick while I was here, hardly their fault but they didn't exactly break their backs trying to figure out how to help me. -- I would recommend this place because it's really a good location -- basically around the corner from the Rijksmuseum and around two corners from the Van Gogh Museum. Although far from the train station, it's right around the corner from a place where the airport bus stops, and very convenient to trams.
Perfect experience for budget travellers”
The hotel is situated just next to the rijkmuseum, a perfect location for museum goers. It takes 20-30min walk from the Dam Square, thus, not so suitable for those with large luggage. Room is clean and cosy, and spacious enough for solo travellers. Facilities are adequate, water boiler is available. Staff are friendly. All in all, it is highly recommended if you are a museum goer who don't want spend much on accommodation and are willing to walk a bit more to get to the centrum district.
